Petticoat Junction

Come ride the little train that is rolling down the tracks to the junction.

Forget about your cares, it is time to relax at the junction.
(Petticoat Junction)
Lotsa curves, you bet. Even more when you get
To the junction, Petticoat Junction.
There's a little hotel called the Shady Rest at the junction.
(Petticoat Junction)
It is run by Kate, come and be her guest at the junction.
(Petticoat Junction)
And that's Uncle Joe, he's a movin' kind of slow at the junction,
Petticoat Junction.

This is what I've been watching the past few days - Season 1 of Petticoat Junction.  I know it's going to make me want to see the other seasons but this is the only one I have!  Enjoying it - TV sure was different a few years ago!

Watching the DVD and hooking is all I've been doing the last few days.

I did take a little time yesterday and took Quentin for his first vet appointment.

He was such a good boy.   He was shaking in the carrier so I held him under my sweater with his little head peeking out and he just was calm as you could be watching everyone.  He was being oohed and ahhed at also over the ladies and even some men in the office and waiting room!   What a charmer!

Dr. W. gave Quentin a clean bill of health.  He's healthy, strong, and growing on schedule.  He said a lot of little ones like this do not make it being abandoned that young and that I did a good job - I did tell him that Jill gets all the credit keeping him alive the first two weeks which are so critical!   He also tested negative for Feline Leukemia so that's a relief since the other boys were exposed to him.

He came home and hung with my husband in the "bunker" since he was off of work and slept most of the day after getting his first shots!

Today he's full of piss and vinegar running around being a kitten.  He's running over and under the big guys and tearing after toys!

Riley is under the bed with the dust ruffle between him and Quentin - he keeps scaring Quentin - but then Quentin attacks the dust ruffle!

Who me? I'm not picking on anyone!

Jonesy is keeping an eye out for him too...

Hard to get a shot - he's too fast...

I'm still having trouble leaving comments on lots of blogs - some work sometimes!

Briony - love your kitty pics and thanks for your comments - I enjoy the antics of your kitties!

Julia - My goodness what a time you have on the farm!  You never know from day to day what you will be doing next I'm sure!

Lisa - Your husband is talented!  Nice bin!  Hope you got your quilter working!
Nettie - first I heard that you had had the operation - glad you are recovering and so happy your family and all your friends were there for you.

Cathy (Orange Sink) - Your Santa's are not creepy!  Love everything you do!

Sharon - You certainly have been busy stitching away - looks great!

I'm sure there are more that I missed but know I enjoy reading your blogs even if I can't comment!

Well I better get back to hooking!

It's a beautiful day today!  The sun is shining and it's warm for November! Love it!

Such a little cutie, your Quenten is! I remember Petticoat Junction when it wasn't a re-run! I could never remember the daughter's names .. Betty Jo, Bobby Jo, and Billie Jo (I had to google them!).
Enjoyed your post today.

Oh, Joanne, I'm so glad everything went well at the vet's. Quentin sure is a lucky little kitty to have had Jill rescue him and then you adopt him. I think he will grow up to be a very thankful and loving cat (once he gets over being a wild kitten!) Ha-ha!
He seems to be holding his own with the big guys.

I'm coming over to sit and watch TV and hook with you! Sounds like a very relaxing day.

Glad that Quentin is growing and doing ok. I show the kids your posts and they are following along with his progress too. We can't believe how the big boys look like giants compared to Quentin!

Glad kitty passed his physical. Petticoat Junction was such a good clean comedy, a far cry from most of them today.

I'm so glad that you are giving us all the new Quentin news. Your big boys are being so good and patient. I'm glad that Q had a good vet report...especially that nasty feline leukemia. I lost my boy Max to that! I love your posts lately...with the funny pictures and the "cat talk" you put with them.
Hugs!!

I just knew he would win the hearts of all who saw him. Soo happy he has a clean bill of health! unbelievable how big he is getting so fast. Still think he will be as big, if not bigger than the other guys. And Jonesy, wow! Sometimes I get him confused with Riley. Such grown ups :)

Rughooking day looked like it was lots of fun. Good job getting your binding done. Not my favorite part of rughooking. Love your pillows too!!My favorite stuffing is Morning Glory also. It has a better feel than the other stuff and it stuffs things much better. I get mine at Walmart. Quentin is getting so big. Looks like he is adapting well.
