Take A Chance on Me (GIVEAWAY REMINDER)

Hey Riley - we have to remind everyone....

Well I guess if you want something done, you have to do it yourself...(mumble mumble - always the new guy that has to do all the work)

Follow me here (http://snippetsandscrapsandpieces.blogspot.com/2011/11/christmas-all-over-again-give-way.html...

Don't forget to sign up for my Mom's giveaway - You guys have a few more days to enter as she's taking off for a few days and going to play with some hookers at that Grant Street Woolworks place (whatever that means)

This will be the very first time I'll be all alone with my brothers - they are kittysitting Mom says and I have to listen to them (yea right - I'm the boss here!) .  I will even have the run of the house - no more keeping me in a closed room - I'm all growed up now you see and go anywhere I want!

I'm not going to be scared and I'm not going to miss her (well maybe a little).  Me and Dad and my big brothers will be hanging in the bunker at night so "no girls allowed" anyway....  (Hmmm Mom won't be home - but if she wanted to she could hang in the bunker with us - she's not a girl - she's just Mom)So I have lots to do - like follow Jonesy around and do what he does...what he's doing I just don't know but it looks like fun...

Was it something I said?

Find out what mysteries hide behind doors...

Ponder what I can get into next...

Nap in Mom's wool...

Hey where'd this picture of me come from - I don't sleep with my butt in the air - Riley must have photoshopped the picture...

Oh yea - more napping....

So don't forgot to enter - us boys will probably be picking the winners Friday or Saturday.

Well off to take a quick catnap...this posting business wears a guys paws out you know...

Christmas All Over Again (GIVE-A-WAY)!!!!

Well finally I'm getting around to having a give-a-way - I wanted to on my 300th post - now I'm at 326 so this will have to be it!

So in the spirit of Thanksgiving and the fact that it's "Christmas All Over Again"

I'm offering this give-a-way to you to help in your Holiday decorating!

It's easy - nothing for you to do but leave a comment and tell me which gift you would prefer.  No need to do anything else - like follow me or tell 100 people or anything else unless you want to!  Life is too stressful as it is - I want this to be fun and easy!

I think even without asking all of you would pay-it-forward and do something nice for someone this upcoming season (and all year around) even if it is a smile!

Okay two of the items will be shown to you by my handsome model Riley (who is looking way to sad and serious - guess he's camera shy tonite - Quentin would have but he needed a nap!).  I'm offering a couple of items as I know some of you may not be crafty and want a completed item and some may want to make your own item...

First up for those that do not want to make anything  - "Kool Pop" - this was a kit I did back in 2004 I believe and this poor pillow has been living in a container since then.   It's based on a Dan DiPaolo design I think.  It is hooked directly on the wool and stuffed

Next is another kit I did the next year and had it laying in a tub all this time - "Crystal" - same thing - hooked thru wool...

or last but not least, remember the feather tree - I will send you a KIT to make your very own - here's a pic of the one on sparkle wool - you will have your choice between regular green or white wool (really off white)

So just leave me a comment and say you would like to enter and which item you would love to have!   I will draw a name sometime next week!

Enjoy and have a wonderful weekend!

oh - if blogger is giving you fits and you would like to enter and can't leave a comment - feel free to email me at josicat@aol.com

Thankful

Good Evening and a Happy Thanksgiving to you!  Hope you had a wonderful day!

Just thought I'd share some more photo's from the past week - the second feather tree class - some of the rugs I took over to the Folk Art Sale - and of course Quentin and the boys!

Sunday was the "overflow" class and was smaller than Saturdays so while the girls were "twirling" and glueing I decided to make a tree myself.  I had that wool I overdyed that I bought at Grant Street - I'm calling it glitter wool!

Close up of the glitter tree - came out really pretty.

This class was a lot of fun - the girls all interacted with each other and there was much silliness going on - Judy said she could hear us all laugh down on the first floor!

Here they look serious for the picture!

Honestly - they were laughing most of the time!

Maryellen finished her tree and couldn't wait to open it (You should wait a day until the glue is totally dried but they used the glue pot on this one so that dries pretty instant!)

Noreen opening hers too!

So here are the rugs I took over to the Sale.  Some I may have posted before as I finished them....

One of my "things" I do is make tree skirts for the feather trees - and each year for the sale I try to do a large one - this one is 24" so it would be good for a 5 feet or so tree probably - I called this one "Animal Farm" - wanted to do something that wasn't screaming Christmas...

This pic cracks me up of Jonesy and Quentin - this is down in the "bunker" - they love this old beat up couch (It is comfy - you sit and you fall asleep as it sucks you in! LOL)   Anyway - so happy they are getting along!

Sunday morning Jonesy showed Quentin what a sunbeam was - now he seeks them out - or "sun puddles" at Pat would say!

Nice and comfy in Mom's lap....

Hey here's Riley - forget Mom!  Well okay - half Riley and half Mom!

Hey Riley - you don't mind if I nap with you do you?

See ya Mom - now stop flashing that darn thing...

I'm planning a give-a-way and will post it later tonite or tomorrow! Hope you enjoy it - and this time you don't have to guess what anything is (remember the "thing" no one could get! LOL!)

Have a wonderful evening!

Catch a Wave

A wave is what I needed to get all I needed to get done this past week!  Busy week for sure and of course I have these adorable boys that need attention too!

Today was the deadline to get my items to the Heritage Center so I can participate in the Folk Art Sale during the Month of December. (Info: http://www.mhep.org/) So hopefully I can breath now - Been drawing, hooking, stripping, dyeing, whipping, zigzagging, etc.!  I took over about 37 mats/rugs and 5 feather trees and 12 pin cushions! Wheww - all delivered!

Also this past weekend at the Cinnamon Stick we had not one but two feather tree classes!  So between the hooking and stuff I had to get together kits - cut the wires, stain the bases, stirp the wool, etc.!  Anyway - got that done!

So... here are some pics of the past week..

Feather Tree Class on Saturday - everyone busy working...

Sharon came to shop and she stopped up to visit!  Sharon's very tall!

Look at the smiles!

Everyone helping everyone else...

Busy twirling away...

Sitting around wondering why they can't open their trees until they are totally dry!

Meanwhile on the home front - Quentin is growing up fast - he's 8 weeks old now and all three boys play together.  He sure is a handful but I am so happy that he seems so happy!

Hey leave me alone - I'm napping here

Oh you can't sleep, well here let me wave my magic paws and put a sleeping spell on you...

Pheww... that one worked...

Oh no - here comes the BIG brother...
Hey squirt - what do you think you are going to do all day - sleep?

I said, it's time for your lessons...

Let's see you are only this tall...nope can't show you how to get in the ceiling yet...

Hey Riley, put up your dukes... i am too big enough to play in the ceiling...

that is after me nap...

Time to help Mom - don't you think she needs a little "gray" over here?

Oh I forgot - my lessons... Okay Riley - what are we doing now?

Okay - you see you stretch out...

and then give it a good push....oh wait - you can climb up the back too that will work too...

By pushing the back down you get this big old ugly chair more comfy to stretch out and Dad gets mad cause he always walks into the back of it - hahahahaha

My work is never done - have to help Mom with the hooking...

Trying to find just the right color...

Back to the bunker for a nap - I hope the big boys leave me alone for a while...

Oh wait - my tummy is growling...

Like I mentioned, Quentin is growing - he's getting tall - not sure what his fur will be like - long or short - right now it's just fuzzy.  He's got a great personality and isn't afraid of anything.   We do have to keep him away from the big boys food - he was sick with the runs for about 4 days last week and wasn't himself - then realized he was getting wet food from the other boys bowls (what he does is sneak up under the pie safe from under it on the other side of their bowls and steals their food - we caught on to this little move and now we put the bowls on the counter when he's downstairs ) It really was too funny to see how smart he is!  He's feeling all better the past 5 days and being a total kitten - he "zooms" around at top speed and plays with whatever is in his path.  He does like to chew so we are working on that!   He purrs so loud when you pick him up you can't hear anything else and he loves to fall asleep being held! What a baby still!  Gotta keep remembering that!

Well i have a lot of cleaning up to do from the whirlwind messes I left in my wake from crafting - then it's time to start over with some orders I put off and a few Christmas presents! Always something!

Enjoy your day!
