Just wanted to remind you to not forget to enter your guess for my give-a-way - See the April 1, 2011 post. So far there are no correct answers. Seriously, I didn't think this would stump most of you! I've been asked questions but I'm not giving any hints but i will answer this question - The piece measure 18" long and 19" tall. I'm making a list of all that are sending me guesses as I will definitely be picking a name from the incorrect list also to at least give you something for trying!
Yesterday I even took the "item" with me to the Sheep Shearing Days at Peter Wentz where I was demonstrating rug hooking just to see if anyone knew what it was. As I was asking Karl and Julianna (the two I was demonstrating win) one of the other volunteers walked by and yelled out what it was! So yes there are people that know!
So good luck! Love reading your answers!
On Thursday I decided to go and venture to Grant Street even though it was damp and drizzly. Had a great day. I did remember to take my camera out part of the day.
Last week was Linda's birthday. Beth brought Linda a gift and Linda was "twirling" with it - as you can see Beth almost got wiped out!
Nancy was there and finishing hooking her first rug - a pumpkin mat. She then started on a large cat...
Joan brought her "dog rug - wow she's moving fast on this one. Pretty colors in person...
Nettie being silly cutting her noodles...
Nancee and her dogs...Great rug!
Jill brought a rubbermaid tub filled with...kittens! Can you image 3 active kittens in a room full of women and wool and noodles.... We had a great time playing with them - This is my hat box filled with noodles...and fur...
This little one passed out in Nettie's arms - slept there for quite a while - looked like she was oozed....
This little guy slept in my box for a few hours - he was out!
Barb got a secret pal gift - she loves bright colors and there was two bright and pretty pieces of fabric around a quilting book...
Jill with one hand on an i-pad and one hand on a hook - i think she may have pulled 1 loop? maybe two? Barb was embroidering...
Bonnie is scrambling some eggs....
Kathy and her sister were working on wool applique and a little flower to put on this felted purse they made....
This Kathy was actually working now and then - making a little Easter cross stitch...
Genny gifted me with a cute little wool mat she made - love it, and all because I gave her a longaberger basket I won at a basket bingo that wasn't really me and it was more her style...personally i think I got the best end of the deal!
As I said earlier, I demonstrated rug hooking yesterday. It was at least not snowing or raining (like the day before) but when that sun went behind the clouds it was cold, cold, cold. Thank goodness Julianna brought some huge pieces of wool - I had myself wrapped up in it most of the day! Here are Karl - down at the end and Juliana showing a little girl how to hook...
Karl working on his rug...
We usually bring rugs to display - I didn't bring any - but here is one of Juliana's and one of Karl's...
More of Karl's...
It was a day that went by quickly with a crowd the entire time. Lots of interest in rug hooking so we all chatted quite a bit.
Hope you are having a great weekend.

I still can't devise a guess on what that thing is...lol! Great pics form Grant Street and the demonstration! So glad you had a good crowd! Makes the day that much more enjoyable!
No kittens sneaked into your bag and went home with you??? They sure are cute!!! Guess it was good I didn't get there. Don't want to be tempted!
I can't believe you were OUTSIDE in the cold demonstrating! Yuck!!! That's above and beyond the call of duty!
I don't have a clue what that 'thing' is. Can't wait to see the answer!

I have no clue, either, what that is. Wow...so many fun photos to look at! Love the dog rugs...the kittens are adorable...you mean you didn't take one home with you? I might have had a difficult time resisting. {grin}
Looks like you had a great time at rughooking. How did you get any hooking done with those adorable kittens there? I probably would have spent the entire time playing with them. I can believe you demonstrate outside. What a trooper you are!!!!!Glad there was a good crowd though. It does make the day more enjoyable. Still thinking what that piece might be...hmmmm
Love the Grant Street pics--I will make it one day (this pesky job!)
