Apple Crunch

Apple Crunch - Just out of the oven!

8 to 10 apples - pared and sliced
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup flour
1 cup granulated sugar (i only use 1/2 or less)
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 egg
1 stick butter or margarine
2 tablespoons lemon juice

Place apples in an 8 x 10 greased pan.
Toss apples with brown sugar and cinnamon mix
Mix flour, sugar and baking powder - add egg -mix well
Spread on top of apples
Melt butter and add lemon juice
Spoon on top of crumbs.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes.
Good hot and cold and great over ice cream!

Miss Susy Homemaker here. mmm, looks delicious!! Even though I'm not a fan of cooked apples. I can just smell the cinnamon, mmmm.

Oh, Joanne. This looks so darn good! I swear, I can smell it from here! If it were close enough to eat, I'd probably blow my diet and my carb counting and eat the whole thing. It's strange....I was at a Christmas party Saturday night and managed to stay completely away from the dessert table. But oh, my goodness, this sure looks good.

That looks so yummy. I make mine oatmeal topping, but I remember using brown sugar when I could eat it.

That looks awfully good. I saw your feather tree made from wool. Realize that was a year ago, but do you happen to have one of the minature christmas tree stands or can you tell me where to order one? I am dying to try making one.
