On the Way to Being Best Buddies

Well today is one week since Jonesy has come to live with us. He truly has been such a pleasure. Just so full of love. He loves to be held and will just purr and purr.

Riley and Jonesy are fast becoming the best of friends. They seem to have to know where each other is at all times and usually if one comes running into a room the other isn't far behind. For a few days there Riley and Jonesy would play and I think Riley was a bit aggressive with him but then Jonesy is 2 1/2 pounds and Riley is 15 and I think Riley is realizing that fact. Jonesy certainly holds his own those in their "play" and gives it right back to Riley.

It's been a fun week - the times I have gone out for a while - when I came home Jonesy would always coming running out of somewhere and great me for a big hug and rub and just purr and purr. I have spent so much time this week just sitting on the floor playing with him - he's just too much fun to watch!

Yesterday I was in the hooking room and look who I found exploring my hand dyed wool area (It's an old cobbler's rack - found him exploring and going thru from shelf to shelf!) There was wool flying everywhere - spent tonite refolding and putting some back - and don't you know he was in there again!

Here is he watching me straighten wool - there is a window here too so he loves to sit and watch out the window. He also discovered what was behind the quilt (behind him) - these are cubes full off wool - so I had to spend some time picking p wool he pushed out when he went exploring!

Miles is still not impressed with the little dude but has come to the realization he is not leaving - Of course whenever I snap Miles pic he closes his eyes!

Riley looking tired - I think Jonesy is wearing him out!

Found Riley and Jonesy taking nap earlier - they are just too cute

They dine together -
They wrestle together -

They bathe together (well Riley does the bathing!)

Another nap this week (oh Riley was on the chair watching him!)

Well I think this says it all - I believe Riley is gonna keep him and Jonesy is definitely one of the family. He's stuck with us!

Joanne, you really truly sound like a kitty momma (that's a play on words, dear) who's completely and totally in love. I'm so glad Riley decided to accept the little guy and even if Miles just ignores him, that's okay.

I fell in love with a little calico girl at PetSmart yesterday but managed to resist, if only because it would create more hate and discontent than we already have. Joey hasn't forgiven me for bringing home Emme years ago and Emme hasn't forgiven us for bringing home Biscuit. These girls can really get "pissy" with eachother. Biscuit just wants to play but Emme and Joey end up hissing, growling and then screaming. Lots of peace around here, I'll tell ya.

Enjoy Jonesy while he's little. They grow so fast but he's a darling ball of fur.
