Riley is now totally fascinated by this little guy - I don't know if he thinks he's a wind up toy or what! But yesterday he did not let Jonesy out of his site once - They started playing together - at least I hope it was playing and I hope when Riley was licking him it was him licking him before the tasting! Riley was getting a bit aggressive with him but Jonesy is a tough little dude - he was holding his own. Riley has a habit of sitting on top of him and a few times licked him and then went for the neck - the little guy would just lay there like he was dead. Maybe this is a dominance/submission type thing - i was near but let them do their thing! Anyway - I think it's going to work out.
Last nite - after I got Jonesy settled in the hooking room for the night and shut the door and I went to go read some magazines in bed. Well normally Riley comes right in and lays on my legs. Nope not last nite - he sat in front of Jonesy's door. About 15 minutes later I heard what I thought was a crash. Oh my goodness - you will never believe what Riley did - he threw himself at the door to the hooking room and got it opened! I guess he needed to know what Jonesy was doing. Poor Jonesy was sound asleep and got scared awake. I couldn't believe it! I got Jonesy settled back down and finally got Riley out of the room and went back to bed. This time Riley came with me.
Again, I just have to say that Jonesy is something else. Truly I have never experienced a kitten like him with the fact that he is so at ease. He never hides from us and comes if we call him (which doesn't happen much cause he's always right there following one of us. He just seems to exude happiness! He comes bounding into a room where you are at and I swear he's smiling! He absolutely loves to be held and will flip and flop and roll all over you. He purrs if you just look at him and smile! I just have a feeling that if I'm having a bad day I will need just a moment with him to get cheered up. It's just hard to believe he's only 2 months old!
Some pics of the past day or so -
In the hooking room I have some food and water and a litter box - Seems the bigger boys are enjoying the kitten food!

This is from last nite - (the cords are from my laptop) - a little break from running after each other:

Hey Mom- what is the email address of the Return Department of the SPCA? (Actually it still amazes me Riley is not fazed - especially after the way he treated/treats Riley! Too funny!)

Here's a pic of Riley on Zigg's nose at about the same age - sooooooo cute!

This morning Miles was soaking up some sunbeams by the slider - He has a bad hip (arthritis) so I always take the rag quilt my Mom made and throw it down for him to lay on (Thank goodness my Mom doesn't have a computer and will see this photo - she'd have a fit especially since she absolutely hates cats! Image that!)

This afternoon up in the hooking room - Jonesy was under a little table I have junk on (like remotes, hooks, tissues, etc.) in the hooking room - he sleeps under there - and Riley was watching him - well by the pics you can see what transpired thru the afternoon - this was a space of maybe 2 hours or so - I was soooooo happy to see this!

A good day for sure! It was have been better had I not had to have gone back to the dentist today - Thursday went in for a cleaning and ended up getting a cavity filled and another one today - This was rough for me as my entire life I had one cavity the size of a pinhead and that was over 40 years ago. It was a bit rough today since it was on a nerve or something - all I can say is thank goodness for Advil! One more appointment (for my cleaning) and I'm done for six months - thank goodness!
Guess I'm sortof like Riley right now and letting my three bundles of fur be my focus the past few day - Oh well - I will get back to my rug hooking and crafting soon, but right now - it's all about the fur!

He is way too cute, I want him, lol.

Riley cannot resist a kitty when it wants to cuddle;)

Awe,,,they look perfect hanging out together...
Whew! Glad they are getting along! The last picture is priceless! Either Riley is saying "I give up", or "Don't let anyone know I secretly liked the little dude all along"... *sigh* I think it's a macho thing... ;-)
I knew that if you just gave them some time, more than likely everything would be fine. Riley just needed to understand that although you brought Jonesey home, it wasn't an invasion of his space so much as a playmate for him. So glad to see that Riley is cuddling with the baby.
OH my goodness, just one big Awwwwwwwwwwww. Love the pictures. Too cute! Can't believe Riley got that door open lol. So happy for you Joanne that they are becoming buddies. Hope your mouth is feeling better today.
Hey, They're gonna be fine together! Riley will be his big brother, teacher and buddy! So glad it's going well. Takes away the guilt of upsetting the older guys lives! LOL!
I'm sure Jonesy is VERY happy to have found such a wonderful loving home!
