What to Start on Next????

Well it's Monday already - May is already starting to fly by. Hope everyone had a nice Mother's Day yesterday.

I went to visit my parents - took my Mom a vat of macaroni and cheese - she loves it and so does my husband - I make it in the crock pot and it tastes just like baked - and very easy. I don't care for it myself. I also renewed the subscription I gave me my Mom to Create and Decorate magazine last year for Mom's Day - so that's why I took the mac and cheese - didn't want to go over empty handed!

I took some chairpads over with me and sat there for the afternoon and whipped them. (Can't show them yet -they are challenge patterns for a group I belong to). My Dad was feeling much better - it was evident the way he was picking on me! LOL! He then finally decided to leave me be and watch the Phillies game!

My Mom is very creative - she's a quilter and always making something - she got done making some quilted purses. She also spends a lot of time throughout the year making things for donation to their church for fund raisers and such. Every once in a while i go thru her tub of goodies and make sure there is not something in there i can't live without! So went up to her tubs yesterday and found something I thought would be nice for a gift - So I "bartered" with her! Just kidding - she said take it - I said I would pay for it - and she said no - then I said how about a rug - knowing full well she had her eye on a rug I made last year! So this afternoon I took over a bunch of the rugs I made to sell last year but never took them over to the stores I sell some rugs in - and let her pick -

Well I knew it wouldn't be the cat and pumpkins! She's not a cat lover! She picked the one above with the proddy like petals on the right. She told me she's been wanting that rug for a year! I told her she should have just taken it before! Oh well! Anyway - it's hers now!

Now I'm back to deciding what to start on next - I always hate finishing a rug because then I have to make a decision what to do next. I have 100's of ideas running around my head but I always have a hard time transferring my ideas to linen - I'm not good at drawing but I try - and I thank God for Primitive hooking! LOL!

So here I sit in my hooking room staring at a piece of linen and my sharpie and deciding what to make! Decisions, Decision, Decisions!

Wishing everyone a wonderful week - JOanne

Beautiful rugs Joanne. You have been busy. I can't wait to see what you create next.

Joanne, the rugs look awesome! I like that prodded one your mom picked. Hope she picks a good spot for it to showcase it.
I too can't wait to see what you come up with. Do you have any patterns that you bought? Or are all of them finished? Or do you just feel like drawing something up? Another challenge piece? Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Joanne,
Your rugs are gorgeous!
I hope the sun is beginning to shine more in your little corner of the world. Rain makes everything so green, but after a while, enough is enough!
I have the same mental block as you. I also have trouble starting a new rug. It's so hard to decide on a pattern and picking the wool is sooooo difficult! What I really need is a rug consultant on retainer because I love the hooking part...lol!
