Cat People (Putting Out Fire)

What a week again! It's always something!

Last Thursday I went to the ATHA Biennel in Lancaster.   I took many pictures of the rugs but I'm sure you all have seen them by now on other blogs!

It was great seeing some old friends and ones having met only via the Internet and now meeting them in person!

Here's Lauren and Kathy...

And those two cuties Bonnie and Jackie...

It was great seeing all the rugs and visiting all the vendors also!

This week I also received a RAK package in the mail from Merrie - a friend from Oregon - a member of our online group AAPG!  She certainly cheered me up - so many things have been going wrong lately and it came on a day I needed  a smile!

Thank you so much Merrie - it was a wonderful surprise and I love everything!

She sent me the cutest apron with kitties - I think it's going to be too nice to use since I'm a mess in the kitchen!  Also she gave me a pile of wool - so prim and I can't wait to hook with it, and also a Punch Needle pumpkin "Give Thanks"

Her punching is "perfection" - Love how she finished it off too.  I just love it!

Again thank you Merrie for making my day!

I also decided to dye some wool this week - really need to dye some more but this was a start.  Hardly anything out exactly as I intended but love what i got - the picture doesn't do it justice - I got some very nice prim colors (keept thinking of Kathy - these are very "Kathy colors - neutrals! LOL)

I have to get busy as I have to have some of my work over to the Heritage Center mid-November for the Folk Art Sale - I was invited to participate again and need to get hooking and finishing and labeling some rugs!  I was able to draw up some patterns to hook the other day at work at the co-op so just need to find the time to sit and hook.

Had an appointment last week for my eyes (again! let's see that makes how many times this year?) Anyway - my right eye has mostly healed - Woohoo! The left eye however (which was the "bad" one anyway) is still not out of the woods yet.  This eye may have the permanent blurry vision - but I'm thinking it's getting clearer - so that's a good sign!  So another 10 days of drops and gel in the eye and I go back on Monday to see how it's going!

A lot of mine time the past few weeks has been spent keeping all the kitties happy!  Jonsey is having a little bit of an issue of jealousy over the new little guy but believe me - he doesn't lack for hugs, loving and attention - I think he just doesn't know how to act.

Riley still isn't too keen on the idea of the new guy but is not hissing like he was.

Been spending this week with Quentin trying to get him to start drinking his formula for a bowl (not having it - he wants his bottle!) and even eating soft kitty food (not having it - but Jonesy and Riley are eating it!)  .  We are also trying out litter training - and he's taking right too it - so happy about that!

Been spending a lot of time sitting on my butt on the floor with Quentin and letting him roam around - he's motoring pretty good now  - Riley and Jonsey have even been hanging around and we are all "playing" to a point.  Jonsey (like i said is having some issues) keeps "rolling" the little guy and "going for his neck" - I truly don't think he will hurt him and let them interact but I'm right there just in case!  I'm thinking he just wants to play or show off in front of Riley!

So here are some pics thru-out the week...

In this picture - Quentin in under the fleece on top of his heating pad...

Not fair Quentin gets to hog the heating pad

Hey, what are you looking at?

Ah, nothing like a heating pad and a fleece to watch TV by

No, I'm not totally gray, I have some white too!

Jonesy's hogging my heating pad again...

Hey you - Hey...

So why does Mom look different from us?

Listen kid, I'm telling you she's not your REAL mother - You're ADOPTED, just like the rest of us...

(Hahahahaha - he'll believe anything I tell him!)

Rub my belly please...

Ah, finally some piece - time for a nap...

Hey, get out of my basket...

I told you - back off...

Okay - if you stay you will have to take a bath first...

Hey this is kinda comfy...

Hoping you all have a wonderful weekend.  Can you believe there is the "s" work in the weather report this weekend!  Yep - SNOW - hard to believe!  I don't want it - not ready - it has finally just felt like fall!

Okay - off to play with the boys - Quentin just woke up from his nap and is climbing up my side! Ouch!

That wool is yummy! I love the captions on the kitty pics. I can see why the big boys are disgusted...Quentin is way too cute. We are gearing up for up to 10 inches of snow tonight...YUCK! My husband will probably be called into work and I'll be here manning the fort! Double YUCK!
Cheers!

Great pics Joanne! Love those captions!! Quentin is getting bigger and looks like he is very happy at your house. Merrie's gifts are wonderful and so is your dyed wool.

The little guy is really growing fast! What a cutie! It's good to supervise the play, the big guys don't mean to hurt, but they are so much stronger. Before long Quentin will be running them around.
Glad your one eye is improving and I hope the other gets better too.
It's cold and dreary here but no S--- yet!

Hooray, I've been waiting for more pics of dear little Quentin and they don't disappoint.
I'm sure the others will come round eventually, my lot still have a go at each other and all are jealous when they see another getting some attention.
Doesn't matter, I love them all so much and your Quentin is so lucky to have such a lovely Mummy.
You talk of snow but over here it is still so warm, not natural for the time of year but I'm sure nature knows what she is doing.
Hugs and keep up the wonderful job.

Joanne, The wool you dyed is beautiful. I really need to take the plunge and try my hand at it. What a cute punch needle you were gifted with.

I always love seeing pictures of your babies. Glad that Quentin is taking to the litter box. Happy to hear that the 2 older ones are gradually becoming accustomed to him. ~Ann
