Each of my cats have their own "things", their own "routines" they do with me, my husband, themselves. They also have their own likes and dislikes.
One of Jonesy's routines with my husband is to sit outside the bathroom door and wait for him to be done
for him (and that boy doesn't let up when he wants something). So he opens the door and has to give Jonesy a hug and tell him they will get breakfast as soon as he's done. So Jonesy waits patiently (most days).
Also, one of Jonesy's (Kathy, Jr.) likes is this...
And being that it is strawberry season
both my husband and I have been having a bowl of strawberries with some whipped cream almost daily. So of course Jonesy gets to have some whipped cream
So why am I telling you this?
Well the other morning my husband gets out of the shower and was getting ready for work. I guess he didn't open the door right away because Jonesy started screaming for him. So he opens the door and picks up Jonesy to give him his first of the morning hug. Well Jonesy starts licking his face - you see my husband was shaving and half his face was covered in shaving cream! Yep - Jonesy thought he was wearing whipping cream. My husband said the face that Jonesy made and the look he gave him was priceless (wish I had a picture) - he immediately wanted down and out the door - Jonesy was mad - guess he was thinking Dad had played a joke on him! I was rolling on the floor when he told me this. Oh and that morning that he had his bowl of strawberries and whipped cream for breakfast, Jonesy didn't want any - He couldn't get him to eat any. Now later in the day when I had mine - Jonesy had some - guess Mom can be trusted! hahahahahaha!
Just thought I'd share that little story!
So any of you ever have these?
I have to laugh - I feel like a dealer. I get them at Costco. (They do sell them at Walmart too but they are expensive there). Everyone I give a taste of these too loves them and I end up buying bags to give them. They are very addicting. Today I bought 4 bags - the guy in the line in front of me was looking at them and then asked about them - next thing you know he's asking what aisle to get them in - Guess he thought I was some crazy lady with 4 bags (2 pounds each) of pomegranates and Acai berries but decided he had to have a bag! (So you know who out there - if you need another bag - let me know - I'm stocked up!)
I also went to some antique stores and thrift stores today - Just window shopping but I did buy this...
It's a wooden child's booster seat. Needs to be cleaned up - and maybe painted - haven't decided yet - but can't you see this with a rug on it and used as a footstool or just to hold magazines or a plant, or.....
Hope you all have a great weekend and can get out there and play if that's what you want to do!

Awww how funny! Poor Jonesy will probably be very cautious with the wipping cream for awhile.
I'm betting that lil' booster chair with a hooked rug is going to look awesome!
What a cute cat story! The booster seat is super, agree, will look good with a hooked rug and some books.
We can certainly relate to 'cat routines'! LOL!!! Too funny about the whipped cream/shaving cream! Poor Jonesy!!! BTW, my guys like the green tops off the strawberries.
Hope to see you this Thurs. at Grant Street!
Poor Jonesy! Funny, though. The booster seat is a neat find and will look great when you get a little rug done for it.
Have a super weekend!

Poor Jonesy. That is a great story. The booster seat is perfect. I can't wait to see the rug you create for it.
Joanne, I love this morning post with your funny cat story. I've had cats most of my life except now only my 4 barn cats and I can relate. They sure have individual personalities just like people. I love the little vintage booster seat. Perfect for a stool or cat bed. Have a great restful weekend. JB
Strawberry shortcake, now I am in the mood for some, lol. My kitties learn from each other and it is all the bad habits;)

Poor Jonesy! I can't believe he started licking Dad's face! How funny is that. My Riley used to sit on the sink in the bathroom and stare at me while I was in the shower. If he didn't go in the bathroom with me, he'd just push the door open - we need better doors! Now Shadow (aka Graby, aka Little Stink) waits in front of the door for me to get out and then licks my feet off when I get out. I really could do without the drying treatment! Thanks for sharing the candy - I'll look next time I'm at Walmart. ~Ann
Love the story about Jonesy!!
Can't wait to see what you do with your little booster seat.
Enjoy your weekend~Becky

Joanne ~
What a funny story! Thanks for the laugh.
I vote for not painting the booster seat - just clean it up with some mineral spirits and give it a coat of wax. Be sure to share what you hook for it!
Pug hugs :)
