I am finally picking up my hook for more than moving it to another location.
I hooked two more of my "eggs"...
They have gone to live at the Cinnamon Stick. So hopefully Judy will be able to sell them to someone that needs some eggs!
I also took a piece of linen and drew up about 8 little mats and have 6 of them hooked - Image that - me hooking! Even my husband comments "Wow you are hooking again" - He got the hairy eyeball!
I do have some legitimate excuses why all 8 of these aren't done...
Someone just loves to be either in my lap or on my frame!
And speaking of the kitties, Jonesy turned two years old on March 12! It's hard to believe I've had him almost two years. When I adopted him he was 3 months old and I adopted him on June 12 so that's why I made his birthday March 12! He's still such a sweet little boy!
Riley, my big boy Bengal, turned FIVE years old on March 24 - Can you believe it - My Riley is 5! I know his exact birthday because he came from a Bengal breeder. I'm finding this funny, Riley is very active and always into something - you just never know what to expect with him, well the last month or so he's become such a "kitten" again - he runs around and plays more than ever and he's always trying to engage Jonesy into play yet Jonesy has become a lazy loaf! He just wants to lay in a lap or take a nap. Riley has also become so much more affectionate than he ever was - he's always there with "kiss" and rub! Cat behavior is always a learning experience - I am learning that nothing I was ever taught about cats is true - they are truly little toddlers in fur!
The other day Jonesy had control of the remote....
Riley wasn't going for the program Jonesy picked out....
No worries - I took over the remote - popped in a DVD, picked up my hook and they cuddled on my side. All is good in their world.
Yesterday was a fun day - Judy and I went out "antiquing" and "junking". We started out going to an antique place and worked our way back - I had her in and out of the car at all these places I'll talk about and she never gets a chance to visit! LOL We did a huge "circle" - had a nice lunch and it was a sunny (but chilly) day! Fun fun fun. I only managed one treasure and it was with a 1/2 price sticker (just love a bargain). Will show you one of these days - I want to "refinish" it and maybe I'll do a give-a-way if you can guess what it is - Kathy and Judy will be excluded cause they know now what it is!
Today I've been in the kitchen since 8:00 this morning - making a huge mess and baking and cooking. Oh I have to either give this up or get a new oven - I am so disgusted that my "baking" looks like c*^p! My oven sometimes works fine and other times only half bakes! Today it was half-baked! Well I think they will taste good and they will still be used - too much work and too many ingredients to toss it - but just not so pretty!
Tomorrow I want to go to Grant Street for the hook-in - Have to wait to see what the weather is - supposed to snow tonite but then be rainy and partly clear tomorrow and snow and rain on Friday - so I may be able to sneak over there between rain drops. We shall see! I'm packing everything up and planning on going - let's hope the weather cooperates!
Hope everyone is having a good week! Take care!

Hi JoAnne, Love your cats their so interesting looking.Your eggs turned out great! Have a fun day, I am off to have fun too, Cheri
I love those eggs. I have been doing all types, but never thought to hook some, duh. Kitties look like they are keeping you busy, ways they amuse themselves and make us nuts, lol.

Hi Joanne,
I love the eggs, but that goes for ALL you make!! I'm sure they will sell very quickly!!
The kitties are just SO CUTE and FUNNY, and your commentary about their actions is hilarious!! I'm so happy they are giving you plenty of laughter and love!
Hope your weather cooperates so you can go to the hook in! Boy, how I would love to be able to go too!!
Have a Happy Day~~
Julie
Hi Joanne, The eggs are great. I love the redware ones you do. Should sell in a hurry. Jonsey and Riley look like they "live the life of Riley" so content.
Oh those eggs do look wonderful and I'm betting someone will snatch them up really quick.
So your kitties like to watch movies :)
Hope your weather straightens out soon. We are staying right in the 40's this week with the wind blowing...where did spring go?
Joanne,
The eggs are beautiful! I also went antiquing with my friend Judy over the weekend! So nice! Your kitties make me long for a cat. I'm going to have to get way pathetic very soon and convince DH that I need to adopt one over my summer break. My corgi is 12 and I need to have another baby to carry me over the next hurdle with Gussie the dog when it comes. Plus, I have always had cats before DH...so why stop now?
Hugs,
Courtney
Love your eggs, and can't imagine they wont sell quickly with Easter just a few weeks away. But in those colors, I'd never put them away!
I remember you telling about Jonesys finding and entry into your home. Glad that he and Riley are normal cat pals now. What is more fun than kitten jinks in a cat? Nothing! Well, of course the kiss and rub, is also very nice. Or that rumbling purring they do.
When Bob is very happy, we say he is taking the boat around the lake, as he sounds so loud on the pillow between our heads.
Hope you'll go.... :) especially if you don't have to drive home after dark. Black ice wouldn't be fun, but if the low is above freezing. Either way have a great day.
Love your eggs! And Jonesy and Riley just love the camera, don't they?
Ok, hoping, hoping, hoping, the weather cooperates!
Love the pic of Jonesy with the remote! What a face on that little guy! :-) Well, it's 6:30 am in Joisey... no rain or snow here... Hopefully it is clear out your way too!
Joanne....we did have a really great day of fun and shopping and must do it again VERY SOON. The first two eggs sold before they were even priced...these will sell quickly! (what a great Easter gift they will make for someone to give)!!
BTW - Joanne's house is an amazing treasure trove (get it Joannne) of wonderful decor - the quilts and hooked rugs... and all her antique accessories...OH MY!!
Joanne, Cute eggs! Didn't know that Riley was a Bengal. Our son desperately wants a Bengal. We told him when he grows up he can buy a couple for himself. We joke that Matthew is going to be the Crazy cat man when he grows up. We also hope that his wife likes cats! I guess if she doesn't she won't become his wife! ~Ann
Joanne ,The eggs were really nice ,and would make a nice gift, there was no doubt in my mine that they would sell at Judy's immediately. Josey and Riley seem to be getting along fine, so glad to see that. Wow! When you put your mind to hooking , there is no stopping you. Thanks Joanne for everything you do, make me laugh when I feel down, had a great time yesterday at grant Street with you.
love Nettie
