Attention you quilters and rug hookers - Check out the give-a-way at Primitive Quilts and Projects. They are looking to up their followers and are having an awesome give-away on their blog.
You have your choice of patterns from the Woolen Willow.
For me being a rug hooker, I have always loved Woolen Willows rug hooking patterns and their dye book has been one of my favorite!
They will also be starting a new magazine in April so looking forward to that also!
Still debating on whether to use wool strips or yarn for my rug - but will probably take both with me to Grant Street this week and decide there.
Also, still deciding what to start next!
Today I decide to re-arrange a few things in the living room/dining room/hall area. Made a good mess and a good tent. Started a tub for my niece who is getting her first house next week and is looking for any handouts! Too cute! She asked me to hook a rug for her so I will be doing that eventually. Her boyfriend got her a puppy for Valentine's Day (a few weeks ago) so she will be HANGING the rug! Trying to get out of her what she's looking for and I think I got it now - I was surprised how that at her age (23 or is it 24?) she likes country. Anyway - that tub is filling up quick as I'm de-cluttering and changing things around!
I had to laugh - Jonsey helped me today re-arrange things and he's very happy at the addition of a bench seat with a hooked rug atop in front of the window - We get a lot of sun there and he was very content to spend the rest of the afternoon watching me while he took his sun bath. Riley was catnapping upstairs and missed some of the re-arranging - I was taking a break and sitting on the couch (pretty much the living room was together) and he came wandering in- stopped - did a double take - looked around and looked at me - I could just hear him thinking "oh boy" - he then proceed to check out and jump on and sniff every spot I changed things in! I could not stop laughing at him scoping out the joint! It was just too funny.
Then I realized it was 2:15 - I had not showered and had to be at the hairdresser by 3:00 - Made it with 1 minute to spare and found out she was going to be late . Always something! LOL
Hope you all had a wonderful day!

Thanks for the head's up Joanne! I was already a follower, but I still told them that you sent me there! Best of luck to BOTH of us!
It warms my heart that your niece is into "country". I think I have a few things to fill her tub! LOL
I have finished a rug with yarn, but need to learn how with the wool strips. Is it just looping the strip around the edge, as if you were whip stitching with yarn? Then I think how it will eat up my tiny wool stash! ;-)

Joanne ~
It sounds like you had a very productive day. What a good auntie you are!
I'm looking forward to the new magazine. I've already subscribed and I hope it's half as good as the hype.
Hugs :)

Isn't it funny that they do that when we move things around, they like things the way they are, haha.
