Well it seems there must be something in the air. So many people are talking about and blogging about how "boring" their life is, or how they have nothing to "blog" about etc. I feel exactly the same way! Maybe it's the let down after Christmas - you have all that anticipation and things to do until Christmas and than bang - it's over. Then comes the not so fun stuff of taking things down - putting them away - then your house looks so bare. Sure Valentine's Day is next but if you are like me you may have only a few Valentine type decorations. I don't know - could be the weather in January too. Whatever. I guess life is what we make it!
I haven't been up to much lately. Last weekend I spent a few days with a friend. We went to a play "Sugar Babies" - it was a benefit for a friend of hers that needs a kidney transplant. They did a great job in a short time.
When I came home after being away from Sunday until Wednesday I received the "cold paw" from Riley - he does this all the time to me - however Jonesy was all over me like a cheap suit and so was Miles. Riley is just too funny, he won't let me hug him, pick him up or even "look" at him - but i catch him staring at me and the minute i look at him he looks away. Well I woke up the next morning and he was asleep on my butt! So I tried to get him to cuddle and he was still a little standoffish - took him almost a full day - but he's my buddy again! Guess tigers don't hold grudges too long.
Jonesy had another growth spurt I believe - I won't post any pictures for a bit then maybe you can see the difference. I do have to say it again - this kitten is a joy to have around. I feel so glad to have stopped in the SPCA the day - something drew me to him and I knew he had to come home with him. He makes me laugh on a daily basis almost to the point of crying - he is just so happy and full of joy it's contagious!
Poor Miles - if anyone has any ideas, I'd be open to them. He's still throwing up on a daily basis - several times a day (My poor hooked rugs that are on the floor) We've tried different foods, and nothing is helping - he doesn't seem sick at all after he's gotten sick - actually will go eat or whatever. We also am having problems with him being obsessed with drinking water - you can't leave a dish soak in the sink or you will find him drinking out it, you can't walk near a sink without him jumping up and meowing for water, you can't take a bubble bath without him standing on the side trying to drink the water, you have to watch if you step out of the shower he runs in to "dry up" the bottom of the shower! Urgh! He does not have diabetes - which was my first thought -had him tested and re-tested and tested again for this! Weird Weird Weird! I love him dearly but it's frustrating - we end up yelling "Miles get out of the sink" - and then feel bad but if we don't yell at him then Riley and Jonesy think they can jump up on the counter - and they know that's a big no-no! Oh my! Sometimes I wonder if he has Alzheimer's and doesn't remember he just drank something! Oh and it can't be a lack of attention thing - he gets loves of hugs and loving and attention! Well I will just have to keep my paper towels and floor cleaner stocked up.
On a creative note - nothing going on - just can't get that spark to start if you know what I mean. For me if I do start something I do not stop and can go to town. I have ideas swimming in my head - just need to get it started! Okay - I know, I know - I'm starting to sound like a broken record!
Wishing everyone a wonderful week and hope no one is stuck in first gear like myself!

Joanne! We need to get together! Talk and laugh a lot! Eat junk food, or better yet, some yummy dessert! Chase away this awful winter slump we are in!!!
Poor Miles, I feel so bad for him! With all the tests he's gone through, you'd think something would have shown up. I know in the past several of my old kitties have gotten that way and there just didn't seem to be anything that could be done except clean up after them. Is he super hungry too?
Give all of them a big hug for me.
Hope to see you soon!
Joanne, Poor Miles. We had a cat, Teppee who I am sure had anorexia or bulemia. She'd eat and then promptly throw up. She was a high strung tiger kitty. She and Frito lived together in this house for 18 days until she decided enough of that bratty kitten, crawled under our bed and that was the end of her. Poor Teppee. She didn't have the drinking thing tho - sorry I don't have any ideas for you to try. ~Ann
Wish I had some answers for you for Miles. I'm sure it is frustrating for you.
Can't wait to see pic's of Jonesy in a little while so we can see the difference. Have any when you brought him home to show as comparison?
I agree with you, it's just a slump. All of us will get on a roll, and there will be no stopping us!! Hope to see you soon!
We all need some SUNSHINE and warm breezes!!!! That will help for sure! I'm trying to keep my mind and hands busy just to get through each of these wet, cold, grey days... I keep telling myself to take advantage of these days, because when the weather breaks, there ain't no way I'm sittin' still in the house! LOL! Hugs to Miles.... The drinking so much water has me wondering maybe kidney? Trying to flush something out of his system? Did you try wet food? I hope he gets better...
Hi Joanne - miss you at Grant St. I know little about kitties but do feel sorry for Miles. I'm trying to get moviated but the going is hard. I don't like being a "house diva" and doing nothing creative.
Lots of Valentine decorations at the store....hey...you are too creative to let days go by doing "duh!"...so get with it girl and hook some Valentines!!! XOXO, Judy
Joanne ~
I hope Miles is feeling better! Can't wait to see pics of Jonesy.
I agree with Moosecraft ~ sunshine and warm breezes would work miracles. It is so dreary here in Ohio. Most of the snow has melted and what is left is so dirty looking. More reason to be depressed...lol!
Pug hugs to Miles :)
