Quentin's Theme

Okay - so there is no hooked rugs to show.

Everything has been about the kitties lately!

Quentin (yes, that is still his name unless something hits me better!) is such a fighter.  I think from Sunday to Monday he grew some too! Today he's back to sleeping most of the day.  He's trying his darndest to walk and you can't leave him on the bed unattended - he crawls pretty darn fast and rolls!   He seems like a happy little fellow purring (more like a clicking sound) all the time.  He's two weeks old and I do believe he will make it!  And the best part is that he sleeps thru the night - I always have to wake him for him to eat!   3:30 this morning he didn't seem to happy being awakened!  Oh and his ears are starting to open and stand up - they look like they may be "big ears!"

Anyway - Riley is still not happy with him - he totally avoided the 3rd floor (where the bedrooms are and where Quentin sleeps in the carrier) for a few days.  Now he's venturing upstairs but avoiding him.  He also has been hissing and avoiding me pretty much but last night I guess his "cold paws" thawed a bit - i went to bed and Riley curled up on my pillow with my arms around him and he purred and purred - He's my man!  Woke up with him close too!   Jonesy is really laid back and he's okay with him - but will do a little hiss now and then - Maybe when he's walking around they will be fascinated and realize he's a new buddy - hope so - just figure they don't know what to make of this little squirmy, loud, mouse colored "thing"!

So here's some random pics - he's hard to get a good pic of - he's always on the move!

Trying to walk yesterday...

Yelling at me about something...

Sunday night after his bottle - check out that fat tummy...

Feel asleep trying to walk...

This afternoon - again trying to walk...

Oh well, maybe later...

Had my follow-up eye appointment yesterday.   Things aren't looking so good - got another two prescriptions - drops and a gel to use at bedtime (let me tell you that feels weird!  And by the price of them they should be drops and gel of gold!) and if things don't improve by the next appointment will be referred to a cornea specialist.  And here I thought it was improving just a bit!

My car is also in the shop and the bill will be close to four digits if not over!  I guess it's payback for going thru the first 6 inspections not needing a thing!

Anyway - it's always something - guess it's just called life!  Have to  stay on the bright side and keep looking for that pot of gold!

Also still reading blogs and some I can't comment on - mainly Sharon's, Cathy G.'s and Pat W's!  Don't know why - some others don't work the first time and then the second and others go right thru!

Have a wonderful day!

hi Joanne, what a terrific job you're doing withe little kitty. He so cute. My barn kitties are keeping me entertain. They are always trying to discover their surroundings. Some are very friendly and others just run away and hide and watch me go about. They all run to the feeding station though.

You can still leave comments on people's blogs by using another server like Firefox and type the name of the blog you want to leave a comment on and when the blog comes up, you can leave a comment.

Take care, JB

Joanne, I'm so sorry to hear you are continuing to have eye problems! Maybe it's a good idea to see a specialist.

Quentin is so tiny! He does look like a little gray mouse. I'm glad the boys are getting used to him and Riley is back to being your best buddy. It's always an adjustment when Mom has a new baby!

Sorry you are having trouble leaving comments. Is there something I can do at my end to make it work???

He is so little, it will be fun to see what he looks like as he grows, seems to be a tiger? I sure hope your eye meds work, having eye problems is not fun.

Joanne,
You are doing a marvelous job with Quentin! Is that like the prison? LOL! Just kidding! He is such a sweet little thang!! Hope he continues to fare well and Riley and Jonesy start to like him!
Those eye problems are not fun. My Mother went through so much when she got a staph infection and it damaged her eye. Many months of eye drops and she needed help with putting them in at the time....... oh yes...... but hopefully the Dr's will find out what is causing your problems. Hang tough!

Breathe easy about leaving comments on my blog..... as I am a bad blogger lately and don't update mine anyway! I do hope there is a solution though and we can get you back on track there!

I will be thinking of you feeding your baby at 3 am when I'm up and can't sleep..... I think it's that darn full moon again! LOL!
Hugs!

Joanne, in my rush to leave a comment I forgot to say that I'm praying for your eye situation.

There has been so much advancement in the field of vision. My hope is that you will regain full vision in your eye that is giving you trouble. Prayers & Hugs. JB

I haven't been doing the rounds just lately so missed the start of the little kitten, Oh, my heart is so full of love for this tiny bundle, I do hope he/she makes it okay. I remember when ours were so tiny but they were lucky to have Mum to feed them.
You are doing a wonderful job Joanne, he/she will look on you as the mother and should turn out so affectionate.
I can understand the others being a bit iffy, I would be if all my Mummy's attention was on another.
Look forward to watching the progress,
Hugs

Quentin is too too cute!!! what a good kitty-mom you are being. Riley is upset that he just can't compete with itty bitty kitty cuteness!!

little Quentin is such a mouse...he must only weigh ounces...looks like he's in the right hands...even if the big boys would rather have you to themselves...

hoping the meds do the trick with your eyes...

what a fighter that little one is. He has gotten so strong. I can't wait to see him jumping around with Riley and Jonesy!
Hope it's the end of car troubles for you, and also that the eye drops/gel works. Praying you don't have to see the specialist.

OMG! Quentin is so tiny and so absolutely adorable!!!
Saying a prayer that the eye meds help!
I, too, am still having problems leaving comments on blogs where the comments don't open in a separate window. I just changed my settings recently and the blogger who suggested it was then able to leave a comment.
Pug hugs :)

Joanne, I've been so darn busy lately that I just haven't been scoping out the blogs. OML, Quentin is beautiful and I know you've just gotten a new addition to your home. Riley and Jonesy will learn, in time, to love him.

Speaking of Jonesy, how's he doing? If I remember correctly, he was diagnosed with a heart murmur?

Miss you and hopefully I can find some time to email you. But it probably won't be until it gets too cold to ride.

I will keep you in my prayers with your eye situation. I'm glad you are going to see a specialist.

That little kitty is so tiny, but so sweet. He's going to be such fun. The other guys will get into him when he can play with them!

Sorry about the car. I just lived that this past summer, but now that I've paid the big money and have my car back...it was worth it. Still no car payment and a working car. Hope all goes well with that!
Hugs!
