It snowed all day on Thursday and all the way into early afternoon today - never stopped! My husband's work was actually closed - a rare event for them - I'm telling you the wind was howling last night with the snow whipping all over the place - Not even pretty if you ask me!
Well the weather kept me in the house and I have barely left my rug hooking room in the last two days. I got a lot accomplished - I made four hooked "redware" eggs. I just made these little mats and whipped the edge with hand dyed yarn.
I also made four feather trees - yes they do look like feather dusters right now but will wait a day to open them. Two of them were an order so I have the bases all stained and ready to go too.
So bascially that's all I did yesterday and today. Tomorrow I'm planning on starting a "rooster" rug - It's for a friend who wants to give it as a gift. After that - who knows! Lots of ideas - just have to get them down on linen!
While I was doing all this hooking, clipping, wrapping, glueing, whipping and whatnot with the trees and the mats I had plenty of help
Yep that would be Riley supervising the egg mat.
"Hello - H-e-l-l-o - Put down the hook, step away from the rug - and give me a chin rub! "
"Hey, get that bonehead away from the TV- I'm trying to watch Lost here!"
"You make a better door than a window"
"Oh the heck wtih it - I'll just take a nap"
"Hey get that camera outta here - we are taking a bath here"
Like I said - I had a lot of help with these two!
The mail lady brought me another package today - My birthday this month certainly keeps going and going! My friend Patijane on AAPG sent me a birthday box! My goodness did she spoil me - she sent a large bundle of really wonderful wools - can't wait to use it, some aloe socks (another friend sent me a pair at Christmas and I love how soft they are), some lotion - smells good!, a primitive wax rabbit, a snowman dish towel, and a cool piece of and old quilt! Thank you Patijane - I just love everything!
Hoping everyone has a wonderful weekend!

You are just way too productive!!! Don't know how you do it. Sorry to hear you have more snow to deal with. This storm totally missed us and I'm not complaining. Have a great weekend!
You are WAY ahead of me on the feather tree production! LOL! Love those hooked eggs! Great idea! Favorite picture of the day HAS to be Riley on his back in the nap bed! ;-)
Joanne - glad the snow passed us by - just a dusting. So productive! Love the egg mats - great idea - wish I had thought of it. Missed you at Cburg last Thursday. Love your kitties antics.
Thanks for keeping the snow out your way :). Those eggs are too cool. I remember you doing some of them before, and loved them then too! You certainly have been productive. Glad one of us is :). Keep going, don't stop now!!
Adore those redware eggs!! And the kitties are precious! Love your captions too!!
You got ALOT done. Those eggs are just perfect!! The trees are so nice too!
Joanne ~
WOW!!! You sure have gotten alot done. We've gotten more snow in northern Ohio, but it sounds like you've gotten LOTS more than we have.
Those redware eggs are wonderful! Your "feather" trees are so cool. I really must get busy on the one you were so kind to send me the "fixins" to complete. I just manage to waste most of my day and not accomplish a whole heck of alot. I think you need to put together a time management class for me...lol!
Thanks for sharing the pics of your furbabies.
Pug hugs :)

I don't know how you get so much done Joanne. I love love love those redware eggs, they are awesome! The storm missed us this time and I am so happy about that. I have to finish up a small rug for the braiding class coming up in less than 2 weeks...I am so slow!!
Love the eggs, came out really nice. I need to make some stuffed ones and a bunny or chicks or both, lol.

And you talk about my quilting frenzy! Holy Schmoly, woman...you make more rugs than anyone I know! And, they're all so wonderful!
Hope you had a Happy Birthday. I remember you emailing me and not sure I ever answered it. Sorry.
