I have had a lot of obligations this past fall with dragging my rug hooking equipment in and out - and supplies for some classes I have taught, and getting ready for camp, and I could go on and come up with 100 excuses - but seems like I haven't really accomplished much - So I thought I would embarrass myself and post these pics - and the next few days things are getting organized - I'm holding myself to it! So if you don't hear from me in a few days - then send someone in to find me! There is piles of wool on the floor and chair and on top of things to be put away -- the cobblers rack which holds most of my hand dyed wools is overflowing from pulling things in and out - every basket and box is holding stuff - dont' know what - but stuff is in there!- I need to find a place for everything!

But..............Before i start working on the mess above - I have to get my rugs together - Why I agree to put things in shows is beyond me - I won't do the "craft" show circuit anymore - it's just too much work working full time and then trying to go somewhere to set-up, sit, and then take-down - but I agreed to put a few things in a couple of shows where i don't have to be there and my deadline is tomorrow! One of the places, I missed their open house deadline but hopefully it still will be okay - i did pretty good there last Christmas season! So tonite - I will be deciding what goes to what place and then making sure everything is priced and labeled and put on the inventory sheets! Then tomorrow nite and Thursday and Friday will be cooking and cleaning this room! Here's a pic of Riley trying to "help". I think even he's overwhelmed at the stack of rugs all over the place!

OK, Joanne...where's the mess? Your room doesn't look bad to me at all. But I certainly understand how you feel. I have too many projects going at one time and have piles and baskets of project wools all over the place. I still have the wool that I pulled from our class on the loveseat so I can't even sit down to hook. Good luck with your organization and your upcoming shows and most of all....have a Happy Thanksgiving!
I "feel" your anxiety lol. Been there, done that, how many times now??? It really doesn't look messy, but I'm sure once you get it organized, you will feel more like creating and relaxing in that room. Just make sure you have your cell phone with you in case you can't find your way out LOL. Take your time with it and just enjoy making it a room to create in.... And ditto what Mary said, "Happy Thanksgiving"!! You too Mary.......
Joanne, Your room doesn't look at that bad. But if you are like me anything out of place drives me nuts and the creativity stops flowing. Kind gets clogged with the rest of the room. lol
Like Mary and Kathy said Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
Sometimes cleaning is fun, we find things we didn't know we had, lol. Of course Riley has to help and make sure you get things right.
Debbie
It would be my pleasure to help you with your "mess?"... see that favorite cat rug of mine under the pile of rugs behind Riley? Send it this way please! LOL! Have fun groping all your wool! That's the best part of straightening up a hooking room! Enjoy your Thanksgiving!
Looks like home to me!!
Well count your blessings you didn't see the entire room and the FLOOR - it was hard to walk in there! Piles of wool holding the door open, Boxes, and tote bags full of stuff! I did put a small dent in it last nite - almost enough where i just may sit upon my buns tonite and hook!
HAPPY TURKEY DAY!
