Yesterday it was flurriering here but it didn't leave any of the white stuff on the ground. It was and still is cold however and today it's "blustery" - the neighborhood trash cans and recycling bins are blowing all over the place!
I spent the day putting the candles in the windows and putting up a few of the Christmas decorations. Was being more choosy this year - maybe I'm getting tired of some of the same things year after year and other decorations I just can't not put up! Last year I had pretty much weeded out a lot of it and freecycled it. This year I think - get rid of or keep but some things I'm just not sure of so will just save for now (like i said I really weeded out last year so there is room!)
I sat down to start hooking the big hit and miss rug (my goal is to finish it by Christmas for my Mom) late afternoon and sat and hooked all night after dinner.
This is my (or should I say our) progress so far...
This morning I'm looking around at my worm baskets and I'm thinking I still haven't put a dent in them! The only wool I cut for this rug is the reds and blues for the border! Hoping to use up ALL my worms so I can start the new year fresh!
I will not be hooking too much the few days - have too many little things I have to get done and errands to do - but as I make progress will post pics.
Only 10 1/2 days until Christmas!

Liking the look of it so far! Cheering you on!
It looks like a great start so far! Stay safe & warm traveling about.
I have faith in you getting it done with time to spare! Look at all the help you're getting ...
It looks great so far! What size strip are you using? I love the colors!
(I'm going to add the word flurriering to my most favorite word list today! I didn't spell it right though did I?) :-))

Looks like a great start Joanne. I know you will have the rug finished - I have faith. I is soooo cold - wonder if I thaw out by August!
Hey Joanne...I know you can finish your rug in plenty of time. We will all be your cheerleaders!
I did a little bit of decorating ysterday too...I think I am decorated out right now! Still dreaming of Joanne's Classic Dunkin' Coffee a la Chocolate!!

10 1/2 days until Christmas, no hooking for a couple of days, and I bet you still get that HUGE rug done. You can just change your name to Wonder Woman Extraordinaire.
Hugs :)

Loving it Joanne! I'm sure your mom will be thrilled too :). Are you bringing it to work on Thursday?
And I thought I put pressure on myself, lol.
And I bet you will do it too.

Wow Joanne. Looks like you're off and running! I'm sure you'll have it finished and wrapped by Christmas Eve! Your mom's gonna love it!
I've been trying to use up lots of scrap worms too and not making a dent. I think they must multiple! Your rug is looking great!
